• Objectives & Eligibility Criteria of JKC

        JKC (Jawahar Knowledge Center) is an innovative and pioneering initiative that attracts the best students from all over the state, providing them with a world class infrastructure and opportunities to apply their knowledge to the challenging problems.
    NASSCOM - National Association of Software and Services Companies predicts a large requirement of man-power in IT and ITES industries; hence the JKC of Andhra Pradesh state offers a degree called JKC-D. In this program, the faculty of Degree colleges which were registered under JKC will be trained in English and Communication Skills, Aptitude and basic computer skills with a focus on NAC test conducted by NASSCOM. This helps the students industry ready and thus will be advantageous to the students and also to the industries.

    * Colleges can also access these login details through their college account on JKC
        portal.

    Objectives of JKC

    * To promote Academia <-> Industry interaction.

    * To impart training through Industry & Academia experts in close interaction to
       produce readily employable graduates.

    * To ensure that socially and economically challenged sections of the society are
       proportionately represented in the IT/ITES employment.

  • * To empower students living in rural areas so as to bridge the urban rural divide.

    * To undertake research and apply these fruitful results to the benefit of the
       society.

    * To develop and deploy e-Governance applications in cost effective manner.

    Industry and JKC

    * With a focus to produce quality human resources to the nation, JKC join hands
       with InfosysCampus Connect initiatives to roll out the Foundation Program in
       50 engineering colleges for about 1400 students.

    * Infosys organized ASPIRATIONS 2020 (a competition to test the students
       capabilities in various skills like problem solving, etc.) Through jkcs

    * Collaboration with IBM to organize IBM- Great Mind Challenge, through which
       students and faculty awareness workshops are organized in JKC status colleges.

    * Oracle has come forward to share its tools and software to college and students
       registered with JKC.

    * Microsoft has agreed to give free software access to all JKC students. Further the
       Microsoft Learning Centres are to be established in selected JKC’s.

    * IEG – JKC provide the guidance and training to JKC students for doing the
       industrial certifications like IBM – DB2, ORACLE, Microsoft, MES, AUTOCAD,
       SAP etc,

    * Around 692 engineering and degree colleges in Andhra Pradesh registered under
       JKC and around 52,030 students were registered till date since 2012 to 2015.

    * During the year span of 2010-2012, around 4300 students and counting got
       placed in various companies. Many MNC’s have tie-ups with colleges registered
       under JKC and a few of them are: Infosys, IBM, Mahindra Satyam, Microsoft, CMC,
       Accenture, ICICI, etc.

    Eligibility Criteria

    1. Candidate must be a student of the JKC registered institution which is
         registered / renewed for the academic year 2013 – 14 with JKC.
    2. Candidates pursuing the following courses are eligible.
        a. B. Tech – 2nd , 3rd and 4th Years (2014, 2015 and 2016 passing outs).
        b. MCA – 2nd and 3rd Years (2014 and 2015 passing outs).
        c. MBA – 2nd Years (2014 passing outs).
    3. Candidates who are already registered with JKC in the previous academic years
        need to not register / renew again.
    4. There is no constraint with respect to the academic aggregates of the
        candidates to register forJKC, where as the eligibility for the candidate to
         participate in the recruitment events of variouscompanies is purely based on
         their respective eligibility criteria.

    Registration Process

    • Candidates are required to fill the given application form (Please note that the
       registration forms of B. Tech and MCA / MBA are different).
    • Candidates are requested to pay attention while filling the details, especially
       the HTNo, MailID, Mobile No and academic marks details.
    • Filled in registration form is to be attested by college Principal / TPO along with
       the college Seal.
    • Candidates are supposed to submit their applications to the college TPO / JKC
       In-charge for the Consolidation.
    • College TPO / JKC In-charge is requested to collect all the application forms and
        prepare aconsolidated sheet with the following fields to send along with
        the applications SNo, HTNo, Name, Branch, Passing out Year,
        DD Amount, DD Number, DDdate, Bank.

    All the filled in applications along with the prepared consolidated list of candidates to send A.P.Society for Knowledge Networks, Jawahar Knowledge Centre, Swarnajayanthi Commercial Complex,8th Floor, C- Block, Ameerpet, SR Nagar (post) Hyderabad. 500 038.

    * It is the responsibility of the candidate to check their profile on JKC portal
       constantly and update it through their TPO in case any changes to be made.

    * Candidates would be short listed to the campus recruitments provided they meet
       the given eligibility criteria according to their profile on JKC portal.

    * Candidates has to check the JKC portal announcements regularly to get the up to
       date information of recruitment event.
